[G4] Unexpected Quitting of a Software

A few times Photoshop has quit on me.. No warning, nothing-
Just plain quits and takes me to the finder with no dialog,
explanation, nada.
I too try to save every couple of minutes, but often I get so
involved in my work that I forget. A half hour or 45mins of
work really sucks to loose.
