Most of the contacts databases automate much of this for you. For example, if you send your resume by email, Entourage for OS X keeps track of when you sent it, and you can add all kinds of stuff to the address book entry that's created automatically just by sending the email. You can put all such contacts in a "job hunting" category so that later on you can search your activity by date or whatever other razor you wish. If you want to store the ads you're responding to, scan them and put the scanned images into one of the fields in the contacts database. Jim Robertson --
