My suggestion is to try a different power cord first. then second power the monitor from a different outlet. It may be that the power cable is not making good contact or is becoming defective. I had a G4 AGP 450 and experienced the same symptoms. I had my monitor powered from the G4 Dual 450 and I started noticing strange monitor symptoms. It was then I started troubleshooting. The result was finding it was the power socket in the G4 and power cable connection both was not making good contact. Sometime conductor contact points become corroded and when cold it is the worse. So Check the power cord for the monitor. If possible and you are using the G4 for a power source remove monitor power cord and look at the contact pins in the socket in the G4 visually verifying that they are clean. Second use an extension cord and go to a different room or part of the house. I think this will narrow it down an not need to move the monitor. But I would move the G4 to inspect the places I stated above. Hope it is the same symptom and same solution as I experienced an solved. Darryl S.
