I own several DVD's. If I travel and want to watch them on an airplane or in my hotel room, I would prefer to take a copy along, rather than the original. I believe that is fair use. I can easily copy a commercial DVD that I already own with DVD X Copy or DVD X Copy Express in Windows. It is truly a one-click affair (well, actually, three clicks in DVD X Copy: the first to press the "No" button and thereby to agree that the source disc is my own, the second to "Copy," and the third to either "Burn," or if you happen to have a second DVD drive as I do, to check the box that says that a burnable disc is loaded and ready; from that point, it's all automagical. The finished copy bears a startup screen that informs that is is a copy made under the principle of fair use; the copy cannot be further copied.) Would that there were such easy-to-use software for the Mac.--Steve At 5:06 PM -0600 12/28/03, CJ Scaminaci wrote: >If it involves a possibility of illegal activity in any way, it >shouldn't be discussed here.
