[G4] USB Hubs - More power

Hi!

I've had good experience with the D-Link DSB-H4 USB hub. You can get them at Staples for like $20 or $30.

However, the absolute *best* USB hub I've ever used are the ones that come built-in to the 22" LaCie Blue monitors in my Art department. They support dynamic USB/Video switching right out of the box so you can have a single monitor and USB keyboard/mouse/anything else and switch back and forth between 2 computers just by pressing a button on the monitor. A *very* nice way of doing KVM, if rather pricey.

all of the devices that an onboard Apple USB port will?

One port must supply the mouse and keyboard, that leaves one for a 
Hub, but if you have a device that balks at Hub connection, you have 
to disconnect the Hub (and anything connected to it) in order to run 
it. I've been using different Belkin Hubs with less than satisfactory 
results. The device I am having trouble with is an EyeOne Pro which 
is referred to in its spec sheet as a "high power" USB item.
