Also listed on that Apple www page is "Synchronize!" which I use for my HD-to-HD backups, if that is what you are looking for when you say "mirroring" (ie. not RAID-0 implemented in software, although that might be available too somewhere). I have used Synchronize! under OS9 and I now run it under OSX using the "X Plus" version of the package. The reason I bought Synchronize! was because of good user reviews. It has worked well for me with zero problems. -ct On Tuesday, January 14, 2003, at 01:31 AM, Power Macintosh G4 List wrote: > Date: Mon, 13 Jan 2003 23:54:34 -0500 > Subject: Re: [G4] HD mirroring > From: wappling <wappling at tampabay.RR.com> > Message-ID: <BA49023A.EE%wappling at tampabay.RR.com> > > Re; yes, carbon copy cloner, a free download,Ive used and tested before > upgradeing just in case. its seems to be fine for OSX.my G4 machine > starts(boots) in OSX > > http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/system_disk_utilities/ > > on 1/13/03 11:48 PM, Fred Thiel at thiel at mynewroads.com wrote: > >> I bought a sixty gig hard drive for my Quicksilver 733, and intend to >> use it as a backup drive.
