Forcing dual booting

Proud owner of a dual 1.25GHz G4 MDD, bought a couple weeks before the
declared death of OS 9 booting.

I know that you can hold down Option during startup to pick where you want
to boot from, but is there any utility that will make the machine *always*
ask you where you want to boot from (like, say, LILO)?
