Something else to bear in mind is that things like a "$20,000 Protection 
Guarantee" is a scam. To collect you have to prove that there was a spike, that 
the spike destroyed your equipment, and that the eqipment was plugged into the 
protector at the time of failure, and that the protector failed.

Once in a while I read where someone has a bunch of these things and has 
carefully added up the value of everything plugged into each one.
