[G4] Help with Excel 1.x

I have Excel 4.0 running on a Mac 8500 power PC running Mac OS 9.1. It is used to support a client who demands Excel 4  and uses it every day on an 8500 running MacOS 8.6.

The two versions can coexist without problems except for double clicking an Excel document. You may not know which application will open. Drag and drop to an alias of the APPL works fine.
