Rescue data from CD in OS X without CD copy

Hey David,

I mean a CD-R written in different sessions, but in a way that the first
sessions doesn't appear on the desktop anymore.
No program can see the disk neither in the "file:open" menu.
This happened only once to me, I don't remember how I did this, the only way
to recover the data was with Astarte CD copy 2.0.3:
you just select that session and save it to the harddrive.
For me this program was one of the hidden secrets of OS 9, in case of
rescue.
With the next generation of Macs not booting in OS 9 anymore, this will mean
a loss of functionality.
Unless other programs can take this over.
