I have a G4/400 Sawtooth with Gigabit ethernet. My last clean install of OSX was 10.1 in Oct 2001. I have updated with each release and am now running 10.2.4. I have had 2 kernal panics in all this time and none with 10.2.4. I don't sleep the machine and power it down each evening.
