How do you delete Previous Systems folder

I have everything running smoothly in Jaguar now and so I tried to 
erase the Previous Systems folder only to find that I cannot drag it to 
the trash and if I control click on the folder the Move To Trash option 
does not appear. How do I free up the 1.5 gig of hard disk space that 
this now useless group of files is occupying. Can you tell this is 
coming from someone who knows next to nothing about the Unix world?
