now now now, wayne... no chiding allowed! ;o) lots of people on this list aren't familiar with chmod and what it does. they provided an answer based on their level of experience - and what they said actually works. I'd rm -r the directory. ;o) then, it's automatically trashed and emptied... but then again, using rm isn't for the faint of heart...
