[G4] OS 10.2.5

Try to reset the power management. It does help with allocating and what not. 
If your Mac is on then turn it off. When it's off, hold the command, shift, 
and control buttons for roughly around 10-15 secs. Release the keys, then 
startup as you would in classic --if thats your preference-- or just hold down 
X. Hope this helps.....
