[G4] APC UPS problem on OS X

The PowerChute installer didn't give me any option for where to install it. 
It was just a standard installer app that ran from the Finder and then told 
me to restart.  Should I log in as root and use Terminal to try moving 
things around?  I don't have much of a clue about what needs to be 
relocated.
