I installed panther os 10.3 hoping that I would be able to print to my macs USB printer from my windows XP based laptop and of-course it does not work. I have a power mac g4 500(Mac os X.3) connected to a wireless router via ethernet, and a dell laptop (Windows XP pro) either connected via ethernet or wireless. The printer is a Canon i550 connected to the mac via usb. The printer prints fine from the mac. I think that I have the configuration set right on the mac, but I am not sure. The printer shows up on the pc and appears to configured, by showing up as a available printer. The printer, however, never prints the documents , i don't even think they reach the Mac, because if it did the mac would probably pop up a printer icon in the dock. Nothing happens, i think the driver is not configured right on the pc. Has anyone been successful sharing a printer connected to a mac to a windows pc? Dan Brieck Jr.
