[G4] canon s400 video into quicksilver under panther

this is a still image camera correct? when i connect my S230 (the 3.2 
megapixel model) to my G4 867, it opens iphoto, and also mounts a disk 
image on the desktop-i simply copy any video clips i captured from the 
mounted disk to my desktop.  imovie will only recognize 
firewire-connected DV video cameras, and no USB cameras of any type.
