[G4] HP Printer 40xx with duplex won't work

what connection does the 4050 use? (usb, ethernet...)  my mother-in-law  
has a 4050 hooked up to a win2000 machine and constantly has problems  
with the full duplex. re-installing windows, the drivers, etc never  
seems to help...

do you have the latest drivers? here is a link for the ver 1.5:
