Sorry to hear some are having problems with Microtek. I have a ScanMaker 4, that I have had for about 4 years. Probably have done close to 2000 scans with it, never had a problem. (Doing my work in 9 still). Microtek does have drivers for X, but I have not tried them yet. Maybe that's where you folks are having problems. If so, please post, as I will be moving to X in the next 6 months or so.
