With a DSL router/switch, you don't use a crossover cable. You connect the incoming phone line to the 5200, then use a standard CAT5 cable to connect the 5200 to your switch. On my DSL router/switch, it's labeled WAN. Then you connect your computers to the switch with standard CAT5 cables. Are you getting all 4 green lights on the 5200? Alltel recently wired our little town so I now have DSL via ethernet and a Speedstream 5200. Hallelujah! I'd like to use my old Laserwriter 360 also via ethernet. A friend loaned me a Linksys Etherfast Workgroup Switch with 5 ports which he said should work fine. The instructions are minimal. I have both straight and crossover cables. I've tried various combinations but can't get the DSL to work. What am I doing wrong? Or do I need another type of box? Thanks everso for your gracious assistance.
