Well, if it's the SCSI card, I have a machine capable of som form of pre 802.11b wireless communication, because it STILL won't sleep after removal of the card. Resetting the motherboard by pressing the CUDA switch didn't help. But thanks for the suggestion. My dim memory, by the way, was that when I first put the SCSI card in the machine and obtained the latest drivers from Adaptec, the machine WOULD sleep, but that it stopped doing so when I connected a drive (the Jaz cartridge mechanism) that didn't support sleep. Hmmm, I wonder if it might be necessary to "uninstall" the driver software for the card? I have NO idea what files I'd need to remove. Jim Robertson --
