Upgrade

My ex-wife has my old 400 GHZ G4 Sawtooth.  Its running on OS 8.6.  
What steps do I have to do to upgrade it to OS X?  I have the Jaguar CD 
that came with my dual 1 GHX G4. Will that work or will I need a 
certain Jaguar version designed for that 400 G4?
I do not need any files I have on the hard drive, I can completely 
erase anything thats on there.
  I'm not sure what I have to do.
