OWC memory is very unstable. I have purchased it many times because of the price and 75% of the time it's off spec and causes problems with MacOSX. Mac OS9 has less of a standard for memory but Mac OSX doesn't take off spec RAM very well at all. If money isn't that big of an issue, try RamJet (http://www.ramjet.com/). Never had a single problem with their memory, full lifetime warranty. I believe you get the same with OWC but it's a hassle sending memory sticks back and forth to find a good one.
