Based on advice from a G4 Lister plus top ratings by all the mags, I yesterday bought Audion 3.2 for both my OS 9.2.1 and 10.3.2 drives. My machine is the first of the G4s--a 350 mhz. However, I have upgraded to 1 gig RAM, a total of 100 gigs on two drives and an ATI Radeon 8500. So, while it is not a "light-speed" machine, at least it is faster than most humans I know. I have not used the Audion on the Panther drive yet but have had some difficulties with using it on OS 9.2.1. This includes a crash while attempting to record to disk. The Audion instructions are very scanty and I cannot locate a tutorial online. Is anyone out there familiar enough with this program on OS9 to know of any potential conflicts with extensions? I still have iTunes 2.0.4 and Toast Titanium Pro installed but turned off Apple Diskburner. Primarily I want to record streaming radio or from tv/vcr, then edit in Peak or Premiere. I'm thinking that maybe Audion is not up to that task. Also, Soundjam seems to be a better jukebox so I'm afraid I may have just blown $30. _________________________________________________________________ Check out MSN PC Safety & Security to help ensure your PC is protected and safe. http://specials.msn.com/msn/security.asp
