Sound Output Choppy/Fails During Outbound Network Activity?

Anyone have the problem on OSX 10.x where if you have a USB sound device (like SoundSticks) that the sound is intermittent or fails completely if you have an outbound transfer of data over the network (i.e., Airport/Ethernet)?

I see in the Console that there is a watchdog now for the USB Audio Driver, but it sure is annoying...I submitted it as a bug in 10.3.3 but was curious to see if anyone else gets it too?
