Hi, I'm considering, when my Applecare runs out on my Main Machine, to just buy ... NOTHING! I do have a G3 iBook that perhaps I might upgrade to use as a backup. It now runs a flavor of OS9. If I'm in the middle of a client project when the machine needs service, I'll just buy a new one, and when the old one comes back from the shop, use it as a backup. Mail order machines can be there next day. As many of you know, I have an external drive for file backup, and as well take CDs to my bank every month as additional insurance against data loss. I do want to buy my son an inexpensive Windows box to check my web sites upon. That would be two machines in the house.
