Just reinstall Stuffit 8 again. IIRC, the Stuffit installer screws up by
installing things within the boot volume, /Library, and maybe even the
/System folder, then the  overwrites what you had previously installed with
Stuffit, especially if you didn't do an Archive & Install installation.
