I just bought and installed a Linksys Wireless-B (802.11b) that, with rebates, came to $49.99. For another $30, you can get the Wireless-G model (802.11g with -b compatibility). It was pretty easy to set up (Web interface). Except that the only subnet that it will use is 192.168.1.x, whereas my old D-Link that failed all of a sudden used 192.168.0.x. That was fine for the DHCP assignments, but I had hard-addressed my laser printer with the old subnet address, and I had a devil of a time figuring out how to re-address it to work with the new Linksys subnet...UNTIL (DUH!) I power-cycled the printer and then re-assigned it a new fixed address. (BTW, the Linksys has FOUR 10/100 Ethernet RJ-45 ports!) My wife has a Cube in the next room, and we use a first-generation Airport card to connect. She noticed immediately that she was getting a much stronger signal with the Linksys than with the older D-Link, and my experience with my Ti-Book also bears that out. So, for the money, I'd recommend it without hesitation. --Steve At 2:57 PM -0500 2/9/04, Snoke Jay S NPRI wrote: >what's everyone using for a wireless hub/router?
