Mail and OS9, X

Hi -

Am using an ancient version of Eudora that runs on either my laptop
or my desktop. The laptop runs OS9.1, the desktop OX10.2. (Eventually,
the laptop will get up to 10, but not right now, because I have to upgrade
it from 9.1 to 9.2 first, and I have a billion things to do that are more
pressing first.)

Am tempted to upgrade to Mail on OS10.2, but then I couldn't get my
email if the desktop went down, could I? My SOP would be to update
the mail on the laptop while the desktop was in the shop and use that,
but I couldn't import Mail messages back into the old Eudora on 9,
right?

Any thoughts?
