Hi Sandor. Thanks for the info. The latest, as listed by the link on 
the site you provided
(http://das.doit.wisc.edu/neistat.txt) indicates the brothers finally 
(on 12/1/03) provided links to Apple's battery replacement program and 
AppleCare for the iPod. I guess they'd gotten all the mileage out of 
their rant possible. John
