I have my Quicksilver and the UPS in a cabinet under the desk.  The cabinet,
sold by IKEA, is actually designed for holding a computer and a bunch of
CDs.  The top holds a printer if it is not under a desk.  Putting the
computer under the desk, but a couple inches off the floor helps nicely with
noise, especially if the floor is carpeted and the surrounding surfaces are
textiles.
