I've done a little more experimentation with this. If you look at the menu bar when you do this you will see the Edit menu flash, meaning the Command-C copy took place. Nothing seems to happen when you just do Option-C. In Finder I don't get the error "funk", but I do in Mail. In Safari the Command-C and Option-C both generate a "funk" each, plus the chime sound. Curiouser and Curiouser. Anybody else find out anything?
