Hello, I recently installed a second ATA hard drive (Excelstor ESJ360 60gb 7200rpm ATA100 OEM IDE)in my Quicksilver 733 G4. The new drive is partitioned into two 30 Gb blocks. It has been initialised and I can read and write to and from it. However, since I installed it I experience frequent partial freezes, where the mouse cursor moves about happily, but can't click on anything. The emergency program exit (command + option + escape) also doesn't do anything. I have to do a forced reboot. I have run Techtool Lite on the system, zapped the PRAM, deleted and rebuilt the desktop, and run Norton disk doctor on it, but there's nothing showing up as odd. Does anyone have any ideas on what may be causing this? Would an incorrectly installed second drive be the reason? Even better would be a solution!
