I'm wondering if someone has some thoughts on this. I burned a 2 hour video using iDVD 4 last night and it took forever. I imported it using iMovie 2 a long time ago (from VHS using a Dazzle Hollywood bridge), opened it in the new iMovie 4 (I just bought iLife), added 18 chapter stops and burned it using iDVD 4. It took over 6 hours to complete, including the encoding and burn. Does this sound more than normal? I'm not even sure how long it took because I just went to bed rather than wait for it to finish. When I crashed out, it had been "encoding:" for over 4 hours. I'm just curious because a friend of mine encoded and burned a 1 hour video using the same source video and import method on his TiBook 1gHz to the internal Superdrive in 90 minutes or so. I'm running 10.3.2 on a G4 Cube with a PowerLogix 1.2gHz upgrade and using a LaCie external firewire burner. I installed the patch that's floating around the net that lets you CTRL-click to select to an external DVD burner. Any thoughts appreciated. -Hal
