It sure can leave a ghost image. In fact it may do so a lot sooner. But 
the ghost image is not permanent: it also disappears after an equal 
amount of time it took to become burnt in. I have seen this kind of 
ghosting in as short a time as 15 minutes with Apple Cinema Displays...
