For kicks, I repointed iTunes at an older library and ran the 4.2 version on the same machine as the 4.5. Sound volume seems to be the same. Wonder if deeper system level things are to blame. I actually noticed a big difference from my iBook G3 (using Sound Sticks) to my G4/500 (using same). The G3 had seemed louder. Doesn't make any sense though really since the HKs use the USB port and the amplification comes from the HK - does it? jim On 29 Apr 2004, at 20:08, James Asherman wrote: > > On Thursday, April 29, 2004, at 10:39 PM, Jim Pacyga wrote: > >> If you can't find it, I have the itunes 4.2 laying around on a spare >> boot HD. > > Now that you mention it so do I , but thanks for the offer. > Jim > > > ---------- > G4ist, a listserv for discussion of everything G4. > FAQ at <http://www.themacintoshguy.com/lists/G4.html>. > Send a message to <G4-DIGEST at themacintoshguy.com> to switch to the > digest. > > XRouter | Share your DSL or cable modem between multiple computers! > Dr. Bott | Now $139.99 <http://www.drbott.com/prod/xrouter.html> > > Dr. Bott LLC 4-port USB Hub in translucent Graphite! > Dr. Bott LLC <http://www.drbott.com/prod/ghub.html> > > Small Dog Electronics http://www.smalldog.com | Canon Digital > Cameras | > --Quicksilver & refurbished G4's arriving daily! | and Camcorders!! > | > > MacResQ Specials: LaCie SCSI CDR From $99!
