You would need to replace the bridge board inside the firewire enclosure
with an ATA6 capable card . . . If LaCie makes one for your enclosure.
Contact them and ask.

Hi Folks,
I've added a number of firewire drives to my G4s. I just ran into an odd
problem. I just pulled the drive from a laCie Firewire 40GB package and
installed a 250GB ATA Maxtor.  My problem, I hit the 137GB barrier. Is there
any way to change how a firewire(400) reads an external drive to overcome
this?
