Can anyone give me the definitive answer on how large a drive I can install in my G4/933 Quicksilver? Once again, Apple's tech support was a bit "sketchy" on the subject - had to put me on hold, check with a couple of others, and then came back with "120G" as a maximum. Presently, I have two 60G internal factory configured drives. I'd like to add another two 250G or larger drives, if that's possible? How much space do I have remaining internally? Or would an external Firewire device be a better option, and - if so - how large a drive could THAT be? I'm not highly "tech-savvy", but if it's a "plug-n-play" install, I could handle it. I'm going to be editing and converting a large amount of analog video to digital format, and will need substantial storage capacity... Also, anyone have experience with LaCie's 8X DVD+/-RW external Firewire drive? Will Apple's software (Final Cut Express + Pro, iDVD) recognize and function natively with this device? Or - since Sony's now introduced dual-layer burners (effectively doubling the storage capacity on a single drive) should I wait a while and acquire one of these? As always, your suggestions are greatly appreciated! Steve Phillips Two Harbors, Minnesota
