Quicktime To VCD

I recently received a Sony DVD player as a gift. I would like to play 
Quicktime movies on it, but of course, it doesn't support Quicktime. 
It will play a VCD, though. Does anyone know where I can find an 
application, preferably inexpensive or free, that will convert 
Quicktime to the VCD format? I have a Quicksilver 733 with OS 9.2.2 
and 10.1.5. and 640 megs of RAM. I ordinarily use 9, (it's a long 
story), so an app that works in 9 would be nice.
