weird monitor condition..

hi all,

i have a problem with my Phillips 107T5 monitor that i hook up with my G4 400 / 768MB RAM / Rage 128Pro AGP   running on 10.3.3

the problem is that there is no video coming out from the monitor wheen booting, but.. if i take off the video cable connection away and put it back in, and suddenly the display is there!

is it the video card, or the monitor? or something else?

never had the problem when running on 9, intermitten when on 10.2 and is there all the time since i've upgraded to 10.3 (i've been having this problem for the past 2 months)

i know i should try to get another computer to test the monitor, but with no car and the only other person that can help me out can only do that after 2 weeks time.. i've resorted to this...

anyone had the same experience? advice please...
