Previous System Folder - Can I throw this out?

Hi -

After my Archive and Install I got many settings back by raiding the
Previous System 1 Folder the install made.

When I'm satisfied my universe is restored, can I throw away this
folder? The Apple Knowledge Base article says each time you
do A&I, it creates a new, sequentially numbered Previous System
Folder. So if I do it again, will the computer be upset when it
doesn't see Previous System 1? (if I threw it out)
