[G4] Epson C84 with print server

I have an Epson C84 with an external Epson print server connected to 
it, it is being shared by 15 G4s.  I have the latest drivers and 
firmware installed. I've installed the driver on every G4 as per 
Epson's tech support instruction.

  Everytime I have to change the ink cartridge or stop a paper jam I 
have to delete the printer from all 15 computers and then reload the 
printer. This doesn't seem right.  Am I doing something wrong? Does 
anyone else have this sort of setup?
