First, my apologies to the group on the essentially empty earlier post. David, I had a similar problem on my MDD G4. It turned out that the manual omitted a little detail: a screw in a tab at the top of the drive carrier. I removed the screw, and the carrier came out following the existing instructions. I did NOT replace the screw after mounting the second drive! Good luck Rich On 10/24/04, David Whelpley wrote: > Message: 6 > Date: Sun, 24 Oct 2004 13:34:53 -0400 > From: David <whelp at earthlink.net> > Subject: [G4] Trying to install a ATA drive in the rear carrier > To: "A place to discuss Apple's G4 computers." > <g4 at listserver.themacintoshguy.com> > Message-ID: <037693F4-25E3-11D9-B8B6-000A95762D62 at earthlink.net> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed > > > I have been trying to install a second ATA drive in the rear carrier of > my Dual 867 G4.
