[G4] iPhoto sooo slow

I'm running iPhoto 2 (Jaguar) on a QuickSilver 2002 800 MHz with 1 GB 
RAM, 913 photos in the library, and I don't have any trouble doing a 
slide show.

But I don't have a solution.  Sorry.
