David, Thanks....... I followed your tip and found all kinds of "Norton" crap all over the hard drive. It has all been trashed. It will be interesting to see if this gets rid of the nag note. The files I deleted were all visible .... God only knows what kind of invisible stuff is scattered around. What is really needed is an Norton purge tool!
