hi, I have a siig ultraata 133/100 pro pci card in my sawtooth and in the apple system profiler (mac os x 10.3.9) it shows up in the 'pci/agp cards' part of 'hardware' and then under 'scsi' it shows the two drives that are hooked up to it along w/the partitions (one drive has two partitions and the other has just one). I've read somewhere that the acard shows up as a scsi device even though it's not one and it's not a problem. on bass, watt http://hootpage.com p.s. here's what's shown: Hardware: PCI/AGP Cards: ACARD,6280M: Name: ACARD,6280M Type: scsi Bus: PCI Slot: SLOT-D Vendor ID: 0x1191 Device ID: 0x0009 Subsystem Vendor ID: 0x1191 Subsystem ID: 0x0009 Revision ID: 0x0006 SCSI Bus: ATA Maxtor 6Y060L0: Capacity: 57.27 GB Manufacturer: ATA Model: Maxtor 6Y060L0 Revision: Removable Media: No Detachable Drive: No BSD Name: disk0 OS9 Drivers: Yes Target: 0 SCSI LUN: 0 g4scratch: Capacity: 57.14 GB Available: 39.52 GB Writable: Yes File System: Journaled HFS+ BSD Name: disk0s10 Mount Point: /Volumes/g4scratch ATA HDS722525VLAT80: Capacity: 186.31 GB Manufacturer: ATA Model: HDS722525VLAT80 Revision: Removable Media: No Detachable Drive: No BSD Name: disk1 OS9 Drivers: Yes Target: 2 SCSI LUN: 0 g4audio: Capacity: 111.88 GB Available: 3.55 GB Writable: Yes File System: Journaled HFS+ BSD Name: disk1s10 Mount Point: /Volumes/g4audio g4visual: Capacity: 74.18 GB Available: 35.36 GB Writable: Yes File System: Journaled HFS+ BSD Name: disk1s12 Mount Point: /Volumes/g4visual > >Date: Tue, 2 Aug 2005 18:08:27 -0500 >From: rich northouse <rnorthouse at wi.rr.com> >Subject: Re: [G4] Re: Update on Serial ATA PCI Card for G4 (It Lives!) >To: "A place to discuss Apple's G4 computers." > <g4 at listserver.themacintoshguy.com> >Message-ID: <36f7929ffbc989f93f43ac2a8646a32b at wi.rr.com> >Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed > >Rich, > >I have an additional PCI disk controller card for a regular ATA drive >and the same thing happens with it -- I can see the card, but not the >drive in the profiler. > >rich >
