[G4] OSX Tiger Font issues

I would update to OSX 10.4.3 first. Although it is very popular, I
find Suitcase in OSX to be a dog. I have been using Font Reserve for
several years, But in the last few months I have been trying LinoType
FontExplorer X on two macs. This is a free application but I almost
hate to tell you because you may think it can't be very good; Yet I
think it may be better than anything I have paid for. Try this for a
week or two and see if it isn't better than Suitcase. It doesn't auto
activate all applications yet, but it does in Quark and Adobe. This
application is in it's second beta but I haven't found any glitches
at all. You will be shocked at the speed (with 5,000+ fonts) and
great design of this application. If FontExplorer X isn't for you I
recommend Font Reserve. I also tried the latest version of the highly
recommended FontAgent Pro; Worse than Suitcase X1.

OSX Tiger uses way more resources than Panther and this may be taxing
the 466MHz tower. For 10.4, Suitcase, Adobe CS and MS Office 2004 you
are really pushing that 466 G4.
