Sam, Look into MacLan -- a software package that runs on the PC and lets you use an apple network with the PC. Therefore you connect your printer as a network device and both computers can use it without any wire change. It's called a network print server. We're using an Iogear USB model GPSU01 with Mac, Windows, and Linux boxes.
