Hi! Was the first hard drive upgraded from OS9, or does it have a clean install of OSX on it? What is the file system being used on the first drive? On the second drive? Perhaps there is something having to do with differing file systems...perhaps some games that run under OSX need a certain file system to run. Just an idea. :) Jon 8^) >>> ronsteinke at mac.com 01/04/05 05:38AM >>> Well, folks, I have narrowed the problem down to something in the first hard drive. I installed NWN in another drive with 10.3.6 on it. I played it until I got to a point where I knew it was working without problems and saved the game at that point. Then, I upgraded the OS to 10.3.7 and started NWN again. I can play it from the CD or from the alias on my dock and it doesn't crash at all. OK - problem semi-identified! It's somewhere in the software on the original drive and that's going to take a while to isolate. Maybe I'll just play NWN from the second drive and forget about trying to resolve the problem on the original drive. It would certainly be less work than trying to get to the real culprit and cure the glitch. When I have some extra time, I will continue to work on the problem but can't promise a successful resolution. _______________________________________________ G4 mailing list G4 at listserver.themacintoshguy.com http://listserver.themacintoshguy.com/mailman/listinfo/g4
