[G4] Patchburn 3 or Toast 6.0.7?

Hi there,

I am upgrading my G4 450 AGP original CD-DVD Read Only Drive to a 
Pioneer DVR 108. I have noticed that most people seem to install 
Patchburn 3 for the drivers in order to use their upgrades drives. Can 
you use Toast 6.0.7 instead, or would you use it in combination with 
Patchburn 3?

Also, does anyone know what version my firmware should be on the 
Pioneer DVR-108? I have noticed a lot of discussion regarding that and 
want to make sure its up to date to take full advantage of the drives 
capabilities.

I am running OS 10.3.9 with 896 megs memory. Thanks for your help.
